About Me

My Background

I first became interested in intercultural studies in 2017, when I met my friend who was working for the summer in the U.S. on a J-1 student visa. Later that year I traveled to Croatia to visit her, which was my first trip outside of the United States. From that point on, my passion for travel and international studies continued to grow. I have backpacked throughout Europe every winter since 2017, traveling to Croatia, Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Serbia and Hungary - which unfortunately came to a halt in 2020 due to COVID restrictions.

I began my undergraduate studies at Coastal Carolina University in 2018, where I majored in Language and Intercultural Studies with an emphasis in Spanish and Russian. My passion for both languages led me to take part in two crucial experiential educational experiences. I studied abroad in May of 2019 attending the Don Quijote schools in Madrid and Valencia, Spain. Later that summer I studied Russian at the Summer Intensive Language Program at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. My wonderful experience at this program led me back here to complete my Master of Art's in International Education Management.
